Using Quick Search

The Search function found at the top-right of a main site page is also a Quick Search. The "Quick Search" feature looks for the specified keyword(s) [character or number string] in all the following product-database areas: ISBN [include hyphens, e.g., enter 0-87969-576-5] Title (including Book Set and Series titles) Author, Editor, etc., Names (Affiliations are not searched) Search results are displayed in reverse chronological order (i.e., most recent appearing first).

Using Advanced Search

The "Advanced Search" allows you to refine the search by selecting ONE of the following product-database areas to search on: All Fields (searches all data areas listed below) ISBN [include hyphens, e.g., enter 0-87969-576-5] Title (including Book Set and Series titles) Author, Editor, etc., Names (Affiliations are not searched) Description (including Bibliographic and Co-Publisher / Distributor information) Reviews Contents (or Topics Included) You also select the sorting method by which search results are displayed: Most Recent (reverse chronological order) Title (alphabetical order) Copyright Year (forward chronological order)

Special Notes (for all searches)

The search keyword is case insensitive. The keyword will match the beginning, middle, or end of a word (or number); it is not constrained to match an entire word. A multiple-keyword string ("phrase") can be entered. The string is searched for exactly as entered (but case insensitive). Boolean search constructions, +/- string prefixes, and quoted phrases are not supported. [If surrounding quotes are entered, they will be searched for!]
